Chef Moké Warren was born and raised on the island of O’ahu. He attended Kamehameha Schools and later graduated from the culinary program at Kapi’olani Community College. After graduation from culinary school, he honed his skills at the five-diamond Halekulani Hotel under the supervision of Chef Mavro.
n 2004 Chef Moké and his wife Teri opened Moké’s Bread & Breakfast in Kailua. With the help of their kids, Keola and Leilani, the Warren Family began serving Windward residents a unique blend of healthy and hearty breakfast fare.
The restaurant’s humble beginnings are rooted in delicious home-cooked meals: The Lilikoi pancakes are divine, our home-made corned beef hash will hit the spot, and our exclusive Hawaiian roast coffee will wash it all down and gear you up for a great day!
In 2013 we opened our Tokyo location in the marvelous neighborhood of Nakameguro. The opening team of the Japan location came and trained at our flagship store in Kailua in the Spring. In August the Warren family conducted another month of training in Nakameguro and the doors were opened! We are ecstatic to bring our Aloha to Japan!
2018 afforded us the opportunity to open another Japanese location in the quaint beach town of Enoshima. Enoshima is one of the quintessential surf towns in Japan and exemplifies Moké’s lifestyle perfectly.
Kaimuki is a Honolulu neighborhood gem just on the outskirts of world famous Waikiki and Diamond Head. Kaimuki is an old meets new neighborhood full of character and charm. Chef Moké’s Grandmother and Aunties lived here in the 1940’s. In early 2019 we were invited to open a new restaurant here and are thrilled to be part of the neighborhood!
It is with great pleasure that our family serves yours. Aloha!
